# Mail handlers - adding / editing

1. Go to the **Incoming Mails** configuration tab and choose **Mail Handlers** under the **INCOMING MAIL HANDLERS** menu item to see the list of mail handlers.

2. Click the **Add New Mail Handler** button to add a new mail handler.
3. Click the Cog icon next to the name of a mail handler for handler Settings. The Mail Handler Settings has three tabs for configuration, find the details about the tabs on their respective sub-pages: [Filtering](/email-this-issue/adding-editing-a-mail-handler/email-this-issue-for-jira-cloud-filters.md), [Finding issues](/email-this-issue/adding-editing-a-mail-handler/email-this-issue-for-jira-cloud-issue-lookups.md), and [Setting up rules and actions in the actions editor](/email-this-issue/adding-editing-a-mail-handler/email-this-issue-for-jira-cloud-mail-handler-actions.md).&#x20;
4. Click the **Pencil** icon to enter the [General Handler settings](https://docs.meta-inf.hu/email-this-issue/adding-editing-a-mail-handler/general-handler-settings). Here, you can configure the incoming connection and set a default reporter.
5. With the **Status** toggle, you can easily turn any handler on or off.
6. Delete a handler with the **Delete** icon.
