# First Use: The OAuth Consent

### OAuth Consent Request

The app is built on [Atlassian's Forge](https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/forge/) platform. Forge comes with many benefits but also some annoying behaviour as well. One of them the so called OAuth Consent. The first time the app is shown to a user, Atlassian Forge requests the user's consent to allow the app to access the pages the current user can see. Providing consent is necessary to use the app. Again, this is a requirement imposed by the Forge platform, not by the app vendor.

Users need to click Allow access and click through the next step.

### Accepting OAuth Consent Requests

To use the app, users must click Accept in this screen
