# I have used the macro before, but now it says "Need to authenticate to server!". What to do?

### **Event description**

You have used the macro before, you were authenticated to the server, but now it unexpectedly says "Please authenticate to server!" where the macro should be:\ <br>

### **Cause of event**

If set by an Odoo administrator, the server requires you to re-authenticate periodically. The time period after which the server asks the user to re-authenticate can be set by the Odoo administrator.

### **Resolution**
